About Me
I have always loved photography. In fact, I could say I have it in my blood. My great-grandfather was an amateur photographer, with Leica cameras and his own dark room. He past on his love of photography to his daughter, my grandmother, and she to me.
I was given my first camera when I was six or seven. It was just a simple 110 film camera, but I was just a kid! By the time I was 15 I had a 35mm film Minolta that I took with me on a missions trip to Honduras. All the other teens thought it was such a high quality camera, but I thought of my grandmother and her SLR's, and well, my camera didn't seem so good. It was during these teen years that I started my self-study of photography. I learned the history and development of the camera and a lot of camera theory, but it wasn't until the digital age came that my knowledge was really able to expand. I was able to take hundreds of pictures without paying development costs for them all and evaluate what I did right and what I did wrong. Those years of self study are what got me where I am today.
